For so long pilots who have been directly flying aircraft have all come to one common conclusion that all planes experience a minor resistance during landing be it on the runway or on the water surface. This is actually caused by the air that is trapped between the surface of the landing zone and the wings of the plane. The third factor to consider is that the landing is not over until the plane is moving at the slowest speed it can. You should know that the aircraft is still moving at the greatest speed and regardless that the plane has touched the runway, it is still moving at a great speed. The pilot should know that at this point although it is rare for anything to go wrong due to the ground effort anything could happen. So it is advisable for the pilot to be highly alert at this point until the plane is completely moving at a siren speed.
